In Cash Games the players sit down on a table, with a specific amount of money. The biggest obvious difference to Tournaments is clearly if a player loses his whole stack, he can just get some more money on the table from his bankroll. Also, there is no such thing as an end on this table. Players play as long as they want to, and then stand up from the table and take the won money with them. On tournaments the blind level increases with time, the blinds on cash tables stay the same all the time. You just have to find the right table for your bankroll. You should be aware! Don't play a cash game like a tournament! It is common practice in tournaments to hit All-In with a hand like AK. Don't do this at cash tables. Having one pair Aces or Kings after the flop is not considered a good hand at cash tables. Cash table players will notice you as a tournament player if you play the same way you play at tournaments and will easily be able to get your whole stack. They will know you're holding a weak hand like 5 6 suited in the hope of hitting a straight or flush at the flop and will call you. If you want to play No Limit (NL) games you should have a much higher bankroll than if you want to play Fixed Limit games. Raises - but also pots - are higher on no limit so it is more likely on no limit to lose your stack than on fixed limit games. However, expierienced and good players can play with a lower bankroll than unexpearienced and weak players. Good luck!
